Boneyard Pets is looking for holiday help!

We are in need of 4-6 people to do in-person sales for the holidays, this is a seasonal job and will last from late October through early January.

We have a booth at both the Union Square holiday market, and one in the Bryant Park Holiday market--where we sell AWESOME 3D Dinosaur puzzles that are made right here in Brooklyn. You must be able to commit to the entire duration of both markets. Must be available to work either location.

We need a few high energy sales people to work 30+ hours a week.

The markets are open from;
Union Square Holiday Market: November 17th  -December 24th (Weekdays 11-8, Saturday 10-8, Sunday 11-7, Closed Thanksgiving)
Bryant Part Holiday Market: October 28th -- January 2nd (Weekdays 11-8, Saturday & Sunday 10-8)
The markets are Closed on Thanksgiving but you must be able to work Black Friday and the Thanksgiving weekend.

We need to fill weekday and weekend shifts. We will probably have two shifts each day (a morning one and an afternoon one) in both markets.
Pay is $15 an hour.

Because some of the shifts are the opening shift you must be reliable. The booth will not open if you aren't there on time. If you are not confident that you will be there on time every work day, please do not respond to this ad.

Your responsibilities will include/You will need to be able to:

-Open and or close the booth on your own
-Being able to sell cool interactive 3D puzzles
-Proactive SELLING, cash handling, and great customer service
-KNOWLEDGE of the product (we will train you, but you should also be interested in it as well)
-Be able to handle pressure gracefully, not panic and most importantly run transactions quickly
-Great attitude and a warm, friendly demeanor with customers, helping them choose their new Boneyard Pets, providing them with information on the product you're selling.
-Dress well for the cold weather, the booth is enclosed with 3 walls and a ceiling, but the 4th wall is open to the elements and we stay open during bad weather including sleet and snow. ( We will have a heater in the booth )
-Good with parents and children, as you are selling toys
-Must have a college degree (or be very close to completing one), a great presence, and enjoy being around people and talking. Engaging people is a very important job requirement; don't wait for them to ask you questions, grab their attention immediately.
-Tech savvy, preference will be given to applicants who have experience with Shopify and other online ecommerce POS platforms. You will run all transactions on an iPad.
-Opening the booth on time and texting us at the beginning of every work shift to verify that you are there and open for business
-Texting or calling when questions/complications come up throughout the day
-Keeping the booth tidy and the inventory attractive
-Restock the inventory and email a daily list of all required stock for the next day
-Accurately recording and reporting your hours on a daily basis
